Thanks to our loyal customers, we had another successful pie pickup event for the Granny’s books! Pie pickup day at our East Hartford bakery was a busy and lively day in the store as hundreds of customers lined up on Thanksgiving eve to pick up our handcrafted freshly baked pies.
Pickup day is our kickoff to the holiday season and it’s something we always look forward to all year. We loved seeing our customer’s familiar faces and we are honored and thankful that our pies were part of our many Thanksgiving day feasts.
We served a special holiday menu, where there was a variety of pies available. In addition to the traditional flavors of pumpkin, pecan, and apple pies, our holiday menu also featured banana creme, swiss chocolate almond, and blueberry peach pies (among others!)
This year, we spiced up the pickup experience and customers were greeted with delicious samples of hot-mulled apple cider provided by our partner, Buell’s Orchards. It was the perfect treat to warm everyone up.
